You can use the right chemical, properly mixed; have the right machine properly adjusted, and apply the chemical at the right stage of weed develop-! ment. All of these steps are vitally important yet their; success, or failure, depends1 chiefly on the man driving the! tractor or truck. He must! know what to do, how to do it and keep his mind on his business.
His jobs are not complicated, however, if a machine is calibrated at 5 MPH; the driver, by varying this speed, may apply too little or toe much chemical.
