Panther Tales

The last SCA dance wat> a grand success. Everyone had a great time at the Sadie Hawkins dance. Dance contest winners were Janet Hackley and Frank Huff for most coordinated and Geraldine Baldwin and Dale Welch for most original. Frank and Geraldine received bandannas. Dale Welch a corncob pipe, and Janet Hackley a straw hat. Donnie Johnson won the door prize and was awarded an empty moonshine jug. The SCA wishes to thank everyone for their support and also to remind you that the Sadie Hawkins dance was the last dance but by no means the last SCA project. A great team is in the making as the Panther baseball team is really hard at work. This year’s team consists of: Lawrence Ricker, Mike Welch, Paul Aylor, Stewart Henry, James Grigsby, Floyd Grigsby, James Jackson, Maury Nichols, Ed Bailey, Steve Gorq Ronald Williams, Bernard Fos ter, Steve DeMent, James Kilby, Wayne Deal, and Irvin Timbers. Coach Layman says we have a better team this year and the strength of the team depends on the pitchers and the first year players. We are all confident that we are going to have a victorious season.
