Glaenzers Honored with Farewell Dinner
The Rev. and Mrs. Charles F. Glaenzer were guests of honor at a farewell dinner Friday evening at the Parish Hall, attended by a large group of parishioners and other friends. Mr. and Mrs. Glaenzer were presented with gifts from various organizations in the church and received the good wishes of all present. He has been the rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, Bromfield Parish for the past five year. He left on July 31 to become Priest-in-Charge of the Church of the Messiah, a mission church in Highland Springs, Va.
Revival at Beech Spring Baptist Church
Revival services will be held at the Beech Spring Regular Baptist, Church, August 5th. thru 11th., services each night at 8:00 p.m.
Rev. Gird Gave of Stanley, Va. w ill be the speaker. Other s: <eakers for the week-end and the Ghnday services will Include, Elder James Adkins, Elder Mack Morgan and the pastor, Elder Kirby Shenk. The public is invited to attend these services.
Joint Vacation Bible
School Set Aug. 7*16
The joint churches, Methodist, Baptist, and Episcopalian, will have Vacation Bible School from Wednesday, August 7 through Friday, August 16 at the Washington Baptist Church from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Ages 4 years and up. The Rev. Edward C. Pruitt will be the Director. All teachers and helpers will meet Monday, August 5 at 7:30 at the Baptist Church. Any assistance will be most welcome.
