Supervisor L. H. Luttrell was appointed to investigate costs of a screen door and installation at the courthouse.
The board was informed that Rappahannock would need a local Highway Safety Committee. No action was taken, hut investigation into the state program was desired.
After current accounts were approved for payment, the meeting adjourned.
Library Board Meets
A meeting of the Board andi Trustees of Rappahannock Library was held Friday night.. After a review of the library’s! operation and activities since the last meeting of the Board, it was resolved to hold the previously announced program for the “Friends of the Library" on September 15th.
Various courses of action were discussed to increase the usefulness of the library to the community and to stimulate more popular interest.
A Book Committee was activated to make recommendations for new acquisitions and also to revise the catalogue of existing books on the shelves.
Service at Forest Grove
W. C. Kirkland of Culpeper will be the guest speaker at Forest Grove Baptist Church on Sunday, August 11. The worship service will begin at 11 a m.
