I l I I Cut shortening into flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; set aside. Blend together egg And sugar in separate mixing bowl. Stir in chocolate and vanilla. Blend flour mixture into chocolate mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Beat well after each addition. Stir in nuts br cocoanut. Drop by teaspoonfulls onto greased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove to wire rack and cool.
