Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bywaters of Amissville announce the marriage of their daughter, Joan Elizabeth, to John Lee Oliver, son of Mrs. Dorothy Oliver of Warrenton.
The ceremony took place Saturday, July 27, 1968 at two o’clock in the Warrenton Baptist Church with the Rev. Saunders officiating.
After a short wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Oliver are making their home in Warrenton where she is employed with People’s National Bank. Mr. Oliver is employed with Atlantic Research.

Finance Hospital
During the first six months of this year, over $5.5 million in Federal funds was approved to help finance the construction of hospital, mental retardation, and mental health facilities in Virginia, Dr. Emil E. Palmquist, Regional Health Director of the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare announced today. Tbia includes additional funds given to projects prior to this period.
The estimated total cost of health facilities given initial approval for P'ederal assistance in Virginia during this period is almost $8.5 million.
Dr. Palmquist said Federal assistance is provided communities to encourage a wider distribution of health facilities and to improve standards of care available throughout the nation.
Most of the Federal health construction money received by Virginia is provided through the Hill-Burton program administered by HEW’s Public Health Service.
