The house itself has a large entrance foyer with wide plank flooring, a formal, high-ceilinged dining room, a parlor with the original plank floors, modem kitchen, den, and a billiard or game room, in addition to a screened back porch overlooking the mountains; upstairs there are four bedrooms. The large attic still has the original chestnut beams, and wood pegging is intact as used in the eighteenth century.
