Gillis To Speak at C & P Dedication
Richard S. Gillis, Jr. will be the principal speaker for the dedication of C & P’s new communications center in Culpeper on Wednesday, September 18,1968.
Currently serving as executive director of the Virginia State Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Gillis is also publisher of The Commonwealth, the magazine of Virginia.
The Lawrenceville, Virginia native is the past lieutenant governor of the fourth division of the capital district Kiwanis Club, Past Chairman of the Hanover county Selective Service Board, and past commander of the third district American Legion. He is presently on the military staff of Governor Mills E. Godwin, Jr. and teaches a course in public relations at the University of Richmond. H i s topic will be “The Free Enterprise System.”
