Amissville Ruritans
Horse Show Oct. 19
A horse show is scheduled for Saturday, October 19 at the carnival grounds in Amissville with the Amissville Ruritan Club as sponsor. Showing begins at 9 a.m. and there will be Western and English classes. The show grounds are located on Route 211 a mile west of the village.
Ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded in the 27 classes listed on the program and points will be accured for championships. The five championships are Small Pony, Large Pony, English Horse, Western Timed Events and Western Working Events. No cross entering of English and Western Divisions is allowed.
The public is invited and admission is $1. Children under 12 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Lunch will be available on the grounds and there will be pony rides for the children.
Cub Pack Reorganizes
Cub Scout Pack fl23 will hold a reorganizations! meeting at the Flint Hill Fire House Friday evening at 7:30. All boys between the ages of 8 and 11 interested in Cub Scouting — come to this meeting — bring your parents — and get signed up for the year’s activities.
