This card should be presented when a person enters a hospital, visits a doctor or receives health services under the Medicare program. This will save time for the patient as Well as time for the people who handle his claim.

“As soon as you receive your Health Insurance Card,” Mrs. Daly suggested, “place it in yo» billfold or pocketbook along with your other important papers or cards that you may carry. This will insure that you will always have it with you when you need it.”

She further noted that the nearly 20 million persons who have already enrolled in the Health Insurance Program should check to see if they have their card with them. If they have not been carrying it, they should start now!

Mrs. Daly also pointed out that if a Health Insurance Card is lost or destroyed, the Social Security Office can provide a duplicate.
