It seems that the doctrine of reincarnation arouses a certain amount of antagonism among some of our readers. I do not advocate believing in it if it interferes with your religious principles. Look on both sides of the coin--there are two sides.
One of my critics cited an instance in the Bible where a man died and went to his punishment, another to his reward. He contends that a man is not saved by his own works, but by grace. I agree with all my heart with this exception. I believe that man can help in his soul’s advancement through his efforts, and by God’s grace. You have the choice.
I believe that God’s grace was at work in the primordial slime of early creation, that through grace we have come this far. I believe that in the eternity of God we can arise from that amoebic state and become the beings, sons of God, He wants us to be. Yes, through His grace. Who can doubt that His grace extends to His creatures in whatever state of progression they And themselves? ’Tis grace that brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home, no matter how many incarnations before I merit that ultimate reward. In the words of the poet: “Come along with me, The best is yet to be.”
