Palmer spent Saturday night and Sunday in Roanoke visiting friends. B. B. Mitchell, Clyde Johnson, Haywood Hitt and “Red” Hudson of Culpeper were ausiness visitors Saturday and :alled on friends in the town. Mrs. Hector MacLaine of New Bern, N. C. was a guest from Monday until Thursday last week of Mrs. A. M. Vemer and Mrs. Virginia Updike. Nick Penaranda and son Mark af Fairfax were visitors Sunday of J. Stant Weaver. Mr. Weaver’s son John Weaver of Washington, D. C. who has recently returned from a three weeks trip to various South American cities was also a Sunday juest. The Rev. and Mrs. Park Dickerson arrived Wednesday at the home ofs Mrs. Dickerson’s parents Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr. on Gay Street. They left Sunday to visit Mr. Dickerson’s father Dr. Lynn Dickerson and Mrs. Dickerson in Roanoke before returning to their home in Johnson, Vermont. Their daughter Lynn returned home with them after spending some time with her grandparents.
