Mrs. O. C. Mitchell is a patient in Arlington Hospital where she underwent surgery on her foot. She is expected to return home the end of this week.
The Rev. and Mrs. Charles Kindred spent Tuesday in Richmond and attended the Virginia Baptist Association Evangelistic Conference. They also recently visited in the Virginia Baptist Home in Culpeper.
Mrs. S. W. Riley and Mrs. J. L. Walter were visitors Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Walter and Mr. and Mrs. Byrne Walter and their families in Warrenton.
Mrs. A. C. Latham and Mrs. Peggy Bowen were dinner guests Thursday night of the Rev. and Mrs. Harold Carder in Culpeper. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Latham and daughter of Fredericksburg were Saturday night supper guests of Mrs. Latham and her houseguest Mrs. Bowen. On Monday Mrs. Charlie Compton was a luncheon guest in the Latham home and in the afternoon Mrs. Bowen and Mrs. Compton visited Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Button at Jeffersonton. Mrs. 0. C. Mitchell is a patient in an Arlington Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hackley were in Warrenton Sunday to attend the funeral of Wallace Moser.
Last Wednesday Mrs. Fletcher Osborne visited Mrs. William Curtis at Washington, Va. Rev. and Mrs. Osborne were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Sandford near Warrenton. Afternoon guests Monday of the Osbornes were the Rev. and Mrs. S.W.T. Hedricks of Mt. Jackson. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Harrington of Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Moss, Jr. of Falls Church and Mrs. Irvin Hitt of Remington were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. David Martin and family. Mrs. Elwood Dean spent last Wednesday in Arlington. Mrs. Julia Curtis is spending some time with Mrs. Sandra Todd and daughter in Silver Spring, Md. Mrs. David Streagle and son Marc left Sunday evening to return to their home in Burton, S.C. after spending several weeks with Mrs. Streagle’s mother Mrs. Sarah Latham and Susan Latham. They were overnight guests Friday and Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne and son Bill and were dinner guests Friday evening of Misses Louise and Katie Anderson in Culpeper.

Christmas Decoration Award Winner Named
Daniel M. Norman was selected by the Wheaton Woods Citizens Assn., Inc. to receive the annual Christmas Decoration Award in the window category for his huge evergreen wreath, sparkling with brightly colored lights and centered with a silver tree trimmed in green bulbs.
The presentation was made on January 13, 1969 at the Aspen Hill Librafy by Mr. Joseph Owens, president of the Wheaton Woods Citizens Assn.
The Daniel Normans reside at 4600 Falcon Street, Rockville, Md. and were competing with 2200 other residents. Mr. Norman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton D. Norman of Woodville.
