This is not criticism, rather, just voicing an opinion. Some will tell you that you have the right to your opinions as long as you keep them to yourself.
For a long period I let the radio suffice as far as my religious life was concerned. A sacred song, a negro spiritual, once in awhile a j sermon. But there was a need to mingle with people, to worship with them that these things could not satisfy. Perhaps I was more gregarious than I was aware — more lonely. What ever the reason I find that 1 am happier, now, in my affiliation with people who worship God in His house, the CHURCH.
If this could happen to a self sufficient person, such as I, it could also be a possibility with the youth of the present day. They have a hunger that is not satisfied in social activities. While I think that it is fine that the churches are promoting the social life of its youth, I think these activities should be a supplement to and not in lieu of the church.
There is nothing that can satisfy the soul’s yearnings like a close relationship with its God. Come to church young and not so young, that might be the answer.
