In 1954, McMahon went to New York City and became an announcer on Johnny Carson’s show, “Who Do You Trust ” In 1962, he became the host and announcer on the “Tonight” show.
McMahon, his wife, Alyce, and their four children, 22 to 8 years old, have a weekend home in New Jersey where the announcer relaxes on his boat, the “SerendipitVjI”
Currently, ^McMahon is busy with plans for the Inaugural Gala, of which he is producer. The event, to take place on Saturday in Washington, I). C., will feature many stars from jtage, screen, radio and TV.
As marshal of the Apple Blossom Grand Feature parade, the TV announcer will head a 31 c4 hour spectacle with 90 bands, 50 floats, scores of color guards and marching units and an advance division of antique cars from a dozen states.
