Elder W. E. Essex

Friends here have been notified of the death on January 10 of Elder W. E. Essex of Lebanon, Indiana. Burial took place there on January 12.

Elder Essex had many friends in this area having conducted numerous evangelistic meetings in the Regular Baptist Churches heFe.

W. F. Woodard

William FYanklin Woodard of Washington, Va. died Sunday, January 12, 1969 in a Winchester nursing home following a long illness. He was 63.

Mr. Woodard, a farmer, was i native of Washington, Va., son of the late Burrell Woodard and the late Anna Nicholson Woodard.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Virginia Coppage Woodard: five step-children, Mrs. Carlton Johnson of Kensington, Md., Mrs. Warren Settle of Washington, Va., George R. Racer of Oxon Hill, Md., Mrs. James C. Racer, Jr., andi Calvin B. Racer, both of Washington, Va., and a brother, Clifford Woodard of Washington, Va.

A funeral service was held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Geest Funeral Chapel in Culpeper with burial in Washington Masonic Cemetery. The Rev. James Adkins officiated.
