John H. Patterson
John Herman Patterson, 72, of Washington, Va. died Monday, January 13, 1969 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
He was a farmer, a native o( Rappahannock County, son ol the late Taylor Patterson and the late Evelyn Wills Patterson. He was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his wife Mrs. Josie Newman Patterson ol Washington, Va., and a brothei James Patterson of Staunton.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, January 15 at 2 p.m at First Baptist Church ir Washington, Va. conducted by the Rev. Pringle. Burial was in the church cemetery. , Geest Funeral Parlors were ir charge of arrangements.
Miss Mary Lou Kines
Miss Mary Lou Kines, 90, of Front Royal died January 9, 1969 in the Lynn Care Center of Warren Memorial Hospital. She was born in 1878, the daughter of the late Thomas and Emma Wood Kines. She taught school in Culpeper County for many years and lived for some time in Amissville where she was a members, of the Amissville
Method ijjrChurch. A funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at the Willis Chapel Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery there. The Rev. Edward Pruitt conducted the service. Miss Kines is survived by several nieces and nephews among whom are Mrs. Aubrey W. Darr of Front Royal where she had been making her home.
