The Old and New
Vets Pension Law
Much controversy has taken place over the last eight years on whether the veteran or widow, who is recejving Veterans Administration pension under the Old Law, should elect to change over to the New Pension Law.
Experience has well taught that a general affirmative or negative answer cannot be given. Each case is different and whether benefits would be higher or lower, and whether risk of future increases of income or net worth would or would not warrant the change, can only be determined by working out each individual cast*. Help in solving these problems can be easily obtained free of charge from the Veterans Servicej Officers of the Virginia Division of War Veterans’ Claims and thusly assure the veteran or widow of a proper choice of benefits. I With the advent of another' amended pension law becoming effective next January 1st a law that promises more pension in most cases, it is again time fori every veteran and widow who is now drawing pension under the Old Law to take another look at their chance for more benefits. The Veterans Administration!
