Robert H. Porterfield, of Abingdon, well-known producer-director of the Barter Theatre of Virginia, has been named 1969 Easter Seal State Campaign Chairman. Mr. Porterfield’s successful career is reflected in the magic of the Barter name which has been a missionary of living drama for ' nearly 4 decades. The Abingdon Theatre, which opens its 37 th season on April 14, maintains the largest professional company in operation outside of New York

As Easter Seal Chairman, Mr , Porterfield will lead the team oi , volunteers around the state whc ’ are making final plans for the , drive which begins on March ] • and runs through Easter Sunday April 6.
