Once I went to a theatre to see an old movie that I had missed as a first run. In the lobby they sold popcorn in cardboard containers, they also sold roasted peanuts. The litter on the floor was at least ankle deep. Well, that was a theatre where they ran second run pictures.
As I travel along the highways I see signs that say: FINE FOR LITTERING. Well, it seems that travelers take the signs “litter ally”, the roads are fine for littering.
These situations are bad, but what about the church litterbug. Have you ever been in a church after the worshipers had gone and seen all the bulletins left on the pews or scattered on the floor, hymnals left on the pew instead of being returned to its proper receptacle? A long time ago Christ drove some people out of the Temple because of the improper use of it. I wonder what He would do if He went into some of our churches today.
