Two Single-Vehicle
Crashes Reported
Two single car crashes hav« been reported by Trooper J. B Willis who investigated them. Or the 30th of January a 196£ Plymouth owned and operated by Franklin Smoot of Warrenton and Flint Hill struck a bank on Routt 211 four and two tenths miles east of Washington. Smoot rar off the right of the highway, bad across it to the left before striking the bank. Damage to the car was estimated at $900 and he was charged with reckless driving.
The second crash occurred or January 31 on Route 211 thret and two tenth miles west ol Amissville. It involved Wesley John Lureau of Warrentor operating his 62 OldsmobiU convertible. He failed to negotiat« a curve, ran off the right of th< highway and struck a bank ther overturned. Lureau sustainec fractured ribs, clavicle and ; punctured lung. He was taken tc Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton bj Amissville Rescue Squad. £ charge of reckless driving ha been placed against Lureau.
