Local 4-H’ers Compete In Nearby Event*
Rappahannock 4-H’ers who participated in area activities outside of the county during the weekend were Bill and Libby Snead of Washington, Jim Fletcher Massie of Amissville and Anne Baumgardner of Washington.
Bill Snead had entries in the Glenwood Park Lamb Show near Middleburg Saturday.. He tqpk first place in fitting and showmanship and had a second place heavy market lamb. His light weight market lamb placed fifth.
At the Madison County 4-H Horse and Pony Show, Jim Fletcher Massie was awarded a blue ribbon in fitting and showmanship. In equitation Libby Snead received a blue award and in equitation over fences she was given a red ribbon. She placed third in jumping on the inside course. Anne Baumgardner and Libby Snead received third places in fitting and showmanship. Lib also received a fourth in large ponies over fences.
Anne Baumgardner received a fourth place ribbon in small ponies over fences and she was awarded third place in the small ponies under saddle and in small ponies over outside course.
