Annual Dinner Meet
The annual dinner meeting of the Rural Letter Carriers Association was held Saturday evening at Amissville fire hall with the dinner served by the Amissville Ladies Auxiliary. The
Association is composed of members from Rappahannock, Madison, Culpeper and Orange Counties.
Business on the agenda consisted of the election of officers who are: president, Rufus Y. Norris of Culpeper; vice president, C.B. Palmer, Washington; secretary-treasurer, Charlie Compton, Amissville.
Delegates to the annual convention which is scheduled for June 30 and July 1 and 2 at Natural Bridge include Mr. Norris and Mrs. Compton; Tom Willoughby of Rapidan; Edward Brown, Sperryville; C.F. Yates, Reva; Allen Ellet, Rixeyville and Jerry Schweikert of Orange.
Mr. Schweikert made a short talk and slides on Vietnam were shown by Lee Brumback, Assistant County Agent, Rappahannock.
