Virginia Nurses Set

Meet at Airlie

Miss Dorsye E. Russell, R.N., of Lynchburg, President of the Virginia Nurses’ Association, today issued an appeal to registered nurses to register for the Regional Conference of the association, to be held at Airlie Foundation, Warrenton on Monday, May 5, 1969 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The conference, whose theme is “Issues in Nursing in Virginia Today” focusing on professional nursing practice, legislation and economic and general welfare for nurses, is one of a series being held in the state in April and May. The regional locations have been chosen to enable all nurses to attend one or the other of the day-long meetings.

“All registered nurses in Virginia, whether active or inactive, members or non-members of the Virginia Nurses’ Association, are urged to attend the regional conference,” says Miss Russell. “We need to know the needs and concerns of individual nurses throughout the state, since our activities will vitally affect every nurse in the Commonwealth.”
