Mr. Ragsdale, the speaker, took as his subject, “What Made America Great”, the title of a Ruritan essay contest a few years ago. Freedom Foundation in Washington, D.C. has made the winning essay a part of its freedom material. As Mr. Ragsdale developed points of self-discipline, self-reliance, and free enterprise, it was very apparent in their rapt attention, that the vital character of his message was provoking some deep thought and soul-searching on the part of the listening audience.
