The following is a sampling of some of the questions asked most frequently at the Social Security Office at 20 S. Cameron St. in Winchester, Va., according to Mrs. Hazel F. Crumpton, District Manager.

Q. My wife and I operate a farm. The farm is in my name but my wife and I both do a lot of the work. Can we each report one-half the profit from the farm or must I report all of it?

A. Ordinarily, in a family farming arrangement the husband or head of the household is considered to be self-employed. The earnings of the farm are credited to him even though other members of the family contribute their efforts to the success of the farming operation.
