DeMent Chooses Aviation Profession

P. E. Steve DeMent who resides at Spenyville, Virginia has been accepted for admission nd training as a professional pilot at the Aerospace Technical Institute, Melbourne. Florida, an affiliate of Florida Institute of Technology. He was graduated in June from Rappahannock County High School.

Mr. DeMent will commence his training in late September and will combine regular college study with pilot training for the Federal Aviation Administration license for Commercial Pilot.

For the next two years, Mr. DeMent will participate in an intense course of instruction in navigation, weather, engines and systems, and flight. He will accumulate 190 flight hours in preparation for his employment as a professional pilot. Graduates of the program of study are awarded the Associate of Science Degree, Flight Technology, after two years.
