Three-Car Crash

Three vehicles were involved in a collision Friday, July 11, in the ] construction area on Route 211 ! five miles east of Washington. There were no injuries andi damage was estimated at $1,800 to the vehicles.
According to Trooper W. A. Buntin, a 1969 Dodge sedan operated by Robert Porter Everett of Baltimore which was| pulling a camper, stopped in a line of one-way traffic in the road construction area. The Everett car was struck in the rear by a 61 Pontiac operated by Robert Leon Edmiston of Chilhowie. Edmiston rounded a curve and failed to stop before striking the back of the camper and side of the Everett car The Edmiston vehicle also sideswiped a car he was meeting, a 67 Buick operated by Sharon Ann Ward of Philadelphia
Edmiston was charged with following too closely, said the officer who estimated damage to the Everett vehicle at $1,000; to the Edmiston car at $600 and $250 to the Ward vehicle.
