Name Prize Winners
The four-day benefit carnival held over the Fourth of July weekend under the sponsorship of the Chester Gap Fire Department was very successful according to a report from that organization. Gross proceeds totaled $5,300.
Prizes awarded on Saturday night went to the following: 1st prize, $400 cash-E. L. Parker of Edinburg; 2nd prize, $75-Elsie Clatterbuck, Manassas; 3rd prize, $25-Paul Sewell, Marshall.
The Chester Gap Community Volunteer Fire Department extends its appreciation to everyone who attended the carnival, contributed to or worked at the carnival or who assisted or donated in any manner.
