Miss Bemadine M. Wilson of Sperryville has accepted the position of Librarian at the Rappahannock Library located on Gay Street in Washington. Miss Wilson retired in 1968 after 33 years as a civilian employee of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Her career included work on the St. Lawrence Seaway Project, military construction in Pakistan and Italy and personnel officer for the construction of the North African airbases. She was Chief of Position and Pay Management for the Army Map Service, the largest military mapping agency in the world, and for the location of the Department of Topographic and Geodetic Libraries. She has already begun her duties here and is seen among the book stacks in the library.
