Mr. Gibb has been a resident of Front Royal since 1921, and has been a practicing attorney there since 1940, except for three and one-half years while he was on active duty with the U. S. Naval Reserve during World War II.
Long active in civic affairs, Mr. Gibb has served with the Community Chest, Red Cross, March of Dimes, Girl Scouts, the Industrial Commission and public school system. He is presently serving as President of the Board of Trustees of Warren Memorial Hospital. He is a past President of the Front Royal Rotary Club, a member of the Vestry of Calvary Episcopal Church and has served as Senior Warden. He is also active in business affairs, being a member of the Advisory Board of the Farmers and Merchants National Bank in Front Royal and a member of the Board of Directors of the Old Virginia Packing Company.
Mr. Gibb is married to the former Mary Parke Maddux of Marshall, Virginia and they have three children. Mrs. Gibb’s brother, Milton Maddux, and her sister, Mrs. Alice Virginia Bennett, live in Marshall, and her brother, T. H. Maddux, Jr. lives in Remington. Mrs. Gibb is also a first cousin of the late Tom Frost.
