Mr. Frost was the owner of an automobile agency and several other business enterprises in Warrenton. He was interested in and worked with auto racing at state and local fairs in 1924. He was affiliated with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a former director and life member of the United States Auto Club, and since 1947 had been associated with the Automotive Old Timers and was its national president for the past five years. Other automotive activities were the National Ford Dealers Council, National Automobile Dealers Association, and Automotive Trade Association of Virginia. He was a steward and referee of the Mobil Economy Run since 1948.
He was instrumental in the establishment of the new $2 million Fauquier Hospital which opened in 1959 and had headed a campaign which kept the old hospital from foundering. He had been chairman of the hospital board of trustees since 1954 and was re-elected to the position or September 15 this year.
Mr. Frost was a member and vestryman of St. James Episcopal Church; a director of Fauquier National Bank; a member of Warrenton Rotary Club, the Fauquier Club and the Fauquier Springs Country Club.
He received the Distinguished Service Citation for the Department of the Army for patriotic civilian service four years ago and in 1966 was presented the Distinguished Service Award by the Virginia Farm Bureau for his role in the passage of numerous pieces of legislation beneficial to the state's agricultural interests.
