Clatterbuck
A funeral service for James Howard Clatterbuck, 67, of Sperryville, was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Flint Hill Pentecostal Church with burial in Sperryville Cemetery. The Rev. Albert kling officiated.
Mr. Clatterbuck was found dead Sunday night, September 21, 1969 near Sperryville. He was a native of Rappahannock County, son of the late Ashby Nelson Clatterbuck and Mary Jane Frazier Clatterbuck.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosie Helen Frazier Clatterbuck; six sons, Lonnie G., Robert L. and Joseph A. Clatterbuck, all of Sperryville, James E. Clatterbuck of Seven Fountains, Cletus H. Clatterbuck of Front Royal and John M. Clatterbuck of Manassas; six daughters, Mrs. Alice Thomas, Miss Margie Clatterbuck and Miss Patricia Clatterbuck, all of Sperryville, Mrs. Jenella Baker of Warrenton, Mrs. Mary A. Dunton of Wheaton, Md., and Mrs. Betty M. Miller of Gainesville, and 27 grandchildren. Also four brothers, Archie Clatterbuck of Amissville, Roy Clatterbuck of The Plains, Elmer Clatterbuck of Manassas and David Clatterbuck of Bixeyville; and one sister, Mrs. Lucille Gray of Warrenton.
Pallbearers were Ray W. Thomas, Delma H. Dunton, Herman Clatterbuck, Eli Miller, Roy W. Thomas and Conner Baker.
Silas Foster
Silas Foster, 78, of Flint Hill died Tuesday, September 23, 1969 in the Warren Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Flint Hill Methodist Church. The Rev. Jerry 0. Campbell will conduct the service. Interment will be in the Flint Hill Cemetery.
