Amissville
The first fall meeting of the Amissville ,,Boy Scout Troop 50 was called to order on the night of September 18, 1969 by Scoutmaster the Rev. Charles Kindred. We got acquainted and then went into group work on our advancements. W'e chose patrol leaders. They are Franklin Williams and Bennie Stover. We closed with our living circle.

The Rev. and Mrs. Charles Kindred and children Susan and John and their two dogs and Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Cooley and four dogs, all spent Friday and Saturday camping on Skyline Drive. Mr. Kindred reports that the six people and six dogs in 42 degree temperatures under cloudy skies with some rainfall had an exciting time.
Mrs. Julia Curtis is spending this week with her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs.
Settle. The Staffords were neighbors of the Settles when they lived in Alaska. . Mr. and Mrs. Brice Biggers had as their guests this week Mr. Biggers’ niece and nephew, Mrs. Samuel Rush of Boca Raton, Fla. and Branham Felker of Covington, Ga.
