In Traffic Crashes
Injuries were minor and iroperty damage low in several raffic crashes reported this week, however, charges were placed in ieveral of the wrecks. Trooper W. A. Buntin nvestigated a two-vehicle collision on Route 522 at Huntly rhursday morning. This involved i farm tractor and wagon driven iy Charles Harrison Jenkins of Huntly and a 65 Plymouth jperated by Frederick Kenneth Harris Jr. of F'ront Royal. Jenkins pulled from in front of lis house located on Route 522 into the highway and was iideswiped by the Harris vehicle. Jenkins was charged with failing to yield the right of way. There were no injuries and no damage to the John Deere tractor or wagon. Damage to the car was astimated at $150.
On Sunday at 2:30 p.m. three miles west of Washington on Route 211 two vehicles collided. Ceorge Kidwell of Amissville {topped in the right lane of the highway to make a left tum onto Route 622. William F'ranklin Foster of Luray operating a 67 Chevrolet came over the hill and was unable to stop. He skidded off the right of the road, struck the Kidwell vehicle, a 66 Volkswagen, and continued down the shoulder of the road into a ditch.
