Today’s Woman Jody Burtner Extension Agent, Home Economies An agent in another county in Virginia sent me an interesting poem the other day; one that applies to most people because statistics show us that the majority of people belong to some kind of a group or club, whether civic, educational or religious. Do you just belong? Are you an active member, Or are you just contented That kind that would be missed, That your name is on the list? Do you attend the meetings. And mingle with the flock. Or do you stay away And criticize and knock? Do you take an active part To help the Club along. Or are you just satisfied to be the kind that “Just Belong”? Do you ever go to visit. Or call a member who is sick. Or leave the work to just a few, and then call them the ‘Clique”? Think this over, Club Members, You know right from wrong.
