Amissville Ladies Auxiliary held its October meeting Tuesday night with 15 members present. Discussion centered around the fund raising supper sponsored by the Amissville Fire Company and scheduled for October 25. The menu was planned for that and for the Ruritans dinner meetingl when the auxiliary’s turn comes! to serve.

Mrs. Ralph R. Rowzie tendered her resignation as secretary of the group and elected to fill her unexpired term was Mrs. Sharon Atkins. Birthday Celebrated

Peter Kallas, son of Dr. and1 Mrs. John Kallas of Sperryville celebrated his fourth birthday at his parents home on Saturday afternoon. Guests included Mrs. Jerry Brown and children Sherri and Rob, Mrs. J. B. Willis and sons, Steve and Mike and Greg and Tony Wayland.

of Richmond and Mr. and Mrs. Oray Davis of Hartwoock Miss Carol Rowzie of Richmond spent the weekend with her parents. Visitors of Mr. Rowzie Monday were G. E. Doyle and Robert B. Settle. Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Riley were callers Sunday night.

Cliff Latham, a student at VPI, spent the weekend at his home Homer Hill Farm with his parents Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Latham. They accompanied him to Blacksburg Sunday evening.

The Rev. and Mrs. Harold Carder and daughters of Culpeper were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. A. C. Latham.

Mrs. G. M. Wood of Nokesville was a caller Saturday of Mrs. Charlie Priest.

Robert Jacobs has returned to his home following surgery at Fauquier Hospital.

Pvt. Ronnie Stover who is stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp LeJeune, N.C. spent the weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Stover.

Mrs. Frank Walter has returned to her home following eye surgery at Prince William Hospital, Manassas, and is recovering satisfactorily.
