Chuck and Nan Perdue, who have recently become residents of Woodvflle, will present a program of folk music for the benefit of Rappahannock Library at the Library in Washington, Va. on Friday evening, October 17 beginning at 8 p.m. Chuck Perdue is a native of Georgia, born near Atlanta and his wife, Nan, is from Los Angeles, California. They have been singing folk songs as a hobby since they were married 15 years ago. Mr. Perdue has a degree in geology and was employed for 7 years with the U. S. Geological Survey. He is presently doing field work which will lead to a PhD degree in folklore. Chuck and Nan have given many public performances including concerts, radio and TV programs, festivals and clubs, as well as military bases. They live with their four young sons in Woodville.
