Royal, the flower girl, was dressed in gold satin of like design to the other attendants. Her halo was of bronze chrysanthemums and she carried a basket of white carnation petals. Jeffrey Vplrath of Des Moines, Iowa was ring bearer. Mr. Latham acted as best man for his son. William G. Eastham Jr. of Amissville was groomsman and ushers were Roger Stover, Clifford Latham, brother of the bridegroom, both of Amissville and Melvin Pearson of Front Royal.
A reception was held in the church social hall. Mrs. Judy Flynn served at the punch bowl and Mrs. Ray Johnston served coffee, The traditional weddingl cake was served by Mrs. Larry LeHew and Miss Stephanie Johnston handled the guest book.
The bride’s mother wore a gold brocade dress with beige accessories and a gold orchid corsage. Mrs. Latham chose a teal blue ensemble, a dress and full length coat and matching accessories. Her flowers were pink orchids.
For her wedding trip, the bride wore a Navy suit with red accessories and her bridal orchids.
The couple will make their home in Trenton, N.J. where Mr. Latham is stationed with the U.S. Air Force at Maguire AFB.
Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Michael Volrath of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Floyd Johnston, Janesville Iowa; Miss Stephanie Johnston and Jess Overman of Huddleston.
Bridge Group Meets
Mrs. R. V. Snead entertained the Washington Bridge Club and additional guests Friday evening at her home Fairlea. Those present included Mrs. C. B. Palmer, Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mrs. W. H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. L. J. Turner, Mrs. Henry M. Keyse?, Mrs. Elmo D. Flynt, Mrs. F. W. Spalding, Mrs. Harold Scoggin, Mrs. Harry Lee Smith, Mrs. E. M. Jones and Mrs. E. A. McNear.
