Sharon Lee Gatterbuck holds a couple of black walnuts from the tremendous pile which a red squirrel has gathered in the yard of the William Stuart place in Washington. This particular little rodent runs up the tree and selects a walnut; examines it and if he finds it to his Hiring takes it down to the ground and adds it to the heap. If the nut is not suitable and does not pass his inspection, he throws it down and makes another selection. This has been going on for many days now. There are hundreds of nuts on the ground, but the choosey little bushy-tail ignores these and picks his own. Sharon is the daughter of Mr. nd Mrs. Nelson Gatterbuck of Washington.
