Legislators Given
AC A Service Award
Hon. John O. Marsh, Jr., Congressman from the 7th District of Virginia and Senator Harry F. Byrd, Jr., D-Va., today were presented the Distinguished Service Award by the Americans for Constitutional Action.
The award is given every two years to legislators whose voting records support legislation “which serve to strengthen and defend the spirit and principles of the Constitution of the United States.”
Admiral Moreell, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ACA, in making the award, said to Senator Byrd:
“The acceptance of this award does not imply that you are in complete agreement with all of the principles espoused by ACA, nor does it imply any commitment for you to support them in the future. Our purpose is solely to honor you for your dedication to the Constitution of the United States.”
