Mrs. Johanna Patzig of Sperryville, who has been a most able and active volunteer i n organizing work the Rappahannock Library, was honored with a reception Sunday at the Library. More than 150 patrons and friends of the library and of Mrs. Patzig attended the afternoon tea. Miss Bernadine Wilson, newly appointed Librarian, was also a guest of honor at the reception.
Mrs. Patzig has spient countless hours working in the Library, sorting, cataloguing, repairing, arranging, or whatever needs to be done at the moment. She has been responsible for building up the selection of books and in particular, developing an outstanding children’s section.
Ail engraved plaque was presented Mrs. Patzig to be hung in the Children’s Corner of the Library which was dedicated to Mrs. Patzig. A small replica of the plaque made into a papier weight
