Historical Society To Meet December 4th
The Executive Board of the Rappahannock Historical Society met Saturday night. Plans were made for a meeting, with speaker, to be held December 4 at the Rappahannock Library. Details in a later issue.
Thanksgiving Day Dinner in Sperryville
The Sperryville United Methodist Church will serve a Thanksgiving Day Dinner, Thursday, Nov. 27 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the new Fire Hall in Sperryville. The menu will include turkey with all the trimmings, sweet potatoes, lima beans, kraut, congealed salads, pumpkin pie and beverages. Adult plate, $2.00; children, $1.00. The public is invited to attend.
Amiss ville Worship For Thanksgiving
A Community Thanksgiving service is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, Nov. 25 at the Amissville Baptist Church. The Rev. W.A. Layman, pastor of the Amissville United Methodist Church, will deliver the message. Special music will be provided by the Young Peoples Choir of the Baptist Church and by the Adult Choir of the Methodist Church. The public is invited to attend.
