Benefit Dinner at Castleton Fire Hall
The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring a public dinner on Sunday, Nov. 23, 1969 at the fire hall in Castleton. Dinner will be served from 1 until 7 p.m. The dinner will include ham and turkey with the trimmings and is $2.50 for adults and $1.25 for children.
In connection with the event there will be the awarding of prizes, an RCA color television and a double barrel 12 gauge shot gun. The drawing will be at 7 p.. All proceeds benefit the fire company.
Washington School Sale Set for Saturday
Washington Flementary School will be re-sold at public auction on Saturday, November 22 at 10 a.m. in front of the courthouse, Washington, Va. This property I had been sold at auction two! weeks ago but the sale was not confirmed by the local School Board.
