Veterans are reminded by the Veterans Administration that it is still not too late to enroll in college this fall under the GI Bill.
While many of the larger universities no doubt have already filled their freshman classes for this year, the Roanoke VA Regional Office said there are many smaller colleges and junior colleges that will accept new students up until school begins in September. VA said it is best to enroll as soon as possible.
Veterans are urged to contact their nearest VA office immediately to get their certificates of eligibility for educational benefits.
The current GI Bill covers men and women who served in the Armed Forces after Jan. 31, 1955.
