Make It With
Wool Contest Opens
Can you sew? Are you between the ages of 14 and 21? And would you like to win a European holiday? If the answer to these questions are all yes, then the Make It With Wool Contest is for you. In the Make It With Wool Contest, there is competition on the District, State and National levels. To enter Make It Yourself With Wool, a girl must make a 100% wool suit, coat, dress or pants outfit from fabric loomed or knitted ,in the .United States. She
must model "lier dwn ^arrrient before judges and appear in fashion shows beginning at the District level.
Selection and construction (including pattern alteration, layout, cutting, pressing and sewing) must be done by the girl herself. She may be advised and taught, however, advisors and teachers cannot cut, press or sew on the competition garment. The garment must be made after Jan. 1, 1970.
Girls compete with others in their age group: Juniors with Juniors (14-16); Seniors with Seniors (17-21). Grand prizes and runners-up prizes are awarded in each division.
Besides the Grand Tour of Europe as the Grand Prize, there are others - none the less thrilling - college scholarships, U. S. Savings Bonds, Sewing Machines, Stunning Accessories, luggage and toiletries.
