Library Lines
If you didn’t see the collections of antique and foreign dolls and antique firearms displayed at the Rappahannock Library on July 4, you really missed something. Both collections were impressive for size, variety and quality; and the books about these hobbies were noteworthy. About 225 persons signed the register in the Library, and total attendance at outdoor and indoor activities is estimated at 250-275. The box lunches, bake sale articles, and lemonade were delicious, as were the candied apples. The pageant was effective and short-appreciated because of the heat. Grateful thanks is due and expressed to all of the committee members and workers who so generously gave their holiday plus many earlier hours to make this event the success that it so obviously was. This is concrete evidence of what can be accomplished when a number of people work together under excellent leadership.
