The A SC Committee Chairman said that in previous years partial payments had been made in advance to feed grain participants. Budget restraints this year made it impossible to make any farm payments before July 1, the beginning of the government’s fiscal year.
As soon as that date arrived, however, farm program payments began. We expect to complete practically all payments by August 1 here in Rappahannock County, which will be the earliest date we have ever completed farm program payments.
