Proposed Highway Projects

All interested persons are advised that the State Highway Commission of Virginia is hereby indicating its willingness to hold a Combined Location and Design Public Hearing concerning the proposed improvement of Route 618 in Rappahannock County, from 0.79 mile west of the intersection of Route 729 to 0.57 mile west of the intersection of Route 729 (Bridge & Approaches over Thornton River).

Mups, drawings and other pertinent information concerning the proposed project are available for public inspection and copying in the Department of Highways District Office at Culpeper, Virginia, located on Route 16 just south of Route13 and in the Department of Highways Residency Office at Warrenton, Virginia, located on Route 15 at the South Corporate Limits of Warrenton.

Any interested citizen from the communities affected by this route may request that a Combined Location and Design Public Hearing he -held by sending a written request to the Resident Engineer, Virginia Department of Highways, P.O. Box 33 Warrenton, Virginia 22186, on or before November 4, 1970. In the event such a request is received, a further notice of the time and place of the hearing will be posted.
