The oversized kitchen at White Walnut Hill, home of Mr. and Mrs. James J. Kilpatrick, near Woodville, is dominated by a massive fireplace made of native field stone. The kitchen is scaled to accommodate Mrs. Kilpatrick’s petite five foot height. Rugs in that room are Spanish and other furnishings are early or middle American country pieces. White Walnut Hill is one of three homes to be on tour Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18. Other homes are Roy House in Washington, Va., home of Mrs. Harry Hurtt and The Shade, country home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul D. Summers, between Washington and Woodville. _
